Tibet's Dingqen County supervises quake-resistant housing building

BEIJING, May 25, 2009 -- Dingqen County in eastern Tibet's Chamdo Prefecture organized a work panel recently to supervise the construction project of quake-resistant housing.

The panel was composed of the Office of the Comfortable Housing Project, the Construction Bureau and the Bureau of Work Safety of the county.

It heard reports and learned information about the buildings underway, and made visits to the sites to ensure that quality quake-resistant houses are built to accommodate local residents.

The county government of Dingqen will also provide training courses to technicians on related knowledge of anti-earthquake fortification and reinforcement.
