Ceremony to present the book to people's deputies
A book on the legal rights of citizens has been published by the China Procuratorate Publishing House.
Entitled The 150 Legal Rights Chinese Citizens Must Know, the book lists 150 essential rights of Chinese citizens and explains them by citing law articles and real cases, coupled with tips from lawyers. The book is designed to remind government organs and people's organizations and other entities of their obligations of protecting the rights of citizens and equip citizens with the weapon to safeguard their lawful rights.
The book is compiled by senior procurator Wang Jianhua, who is also member of the China Law Society and an outstanding youth of Zhejiang Province. The compilation of the book was prompted by a motion mooted by 11 deputies to the Taizhou city people's congress at its third session in March this year.
A ceremony was held to present the book to the 11 people's deputies. |
