Mr. Liu Hainian was born in 1936 in Tanghe County, Henan Province. He is a Consultant of China Society for Human Rights Studies, director of Human Rights Research Center of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and professor of the graduate school of the Academy, professor of the graduate school of Renmin University of China and Law School of Tsinghua University. Graduated from the Faculty of Law of Renmin University of China in 1961, he had been a researcher and a director in Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chinese Academy of Social Sciences for years. His main aspects of research are history of Chinese law, nomocracy and Human Rights theories. His main achievements includes more than a hundred articles and over ten books.
