YINCHUAN, July 22, 2008 -- Six people died and nine others were injured when a farm truck overturned on Monday in Xiji County, Guyuan City, in northwest China's Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, the regional public security bureau said on Tuesday.

The accident occurred just after 5:30 p.m. when the unlicensed truck, with 15 villagers on board, overturned while turning a corner. Five people died at the scene. Ten were injured, of whom one subsequently died.

A preliminary investigation found that speeding and driving in the wrong lane caused the accident.
