- Full realization of human rights is the long-cherished ideal of mankind, and the long-pursued goal of the Chinese government and people. China respects the principle of universality of human rights, and has strived to explore the development path, establish and improve protection mechanisms and enrich theories of human rights under socialism with Chinese characteristics, in line with purposes and principles of Charter of the United Nations, basic spirits of Universal Declaration of Human Rights and relevant international human rights instruments as well as its own national conditions.
