Donald Ramotar, president of the Republic of Guyana, said in his message: "On behalf of the government and people of the Republic of Guyana, and my own behalf, I wish to extend warm congratulations to you on your election as General Secretary of the Central Committee of the CPC."

"I wish you every success as you continue to pursue the goals and objectives for the further economic and social development of your country and its people," Ramotar said, adding that "I look forward to working with you towards the preservation of these bonds and the promotion of greater cooperation and collaboration between our countries at both the bilateral and multilateral levels."

Ivica Dacic, Serbian prime minister, interior minister and leader of the Socialist Party, said: "I am convinced that you will continue running the country as well as your predecessor and that China will continue decades of extraordinary growth."

"Great responsibility lies ahead of you, being the leader of one of the most powerful countries in the world, but I am convinced that a man of your skills is up to the challenge," he said, adding that "I am looking forward to further cooperation of our parties as well as our countries."

Portia Simpson Miller, president of Jamaica's People's National Party and Prime Minister of Jamaica, said in her message: "The People's National Party is looking forward to working with the CPC under your distinguished leadership to cement even further the close relationship between our two Parties."
