Mr. Li Junru, Vice-president of China Society for Human Rights Studies, gave a speech which outlines the characteristics of China’s human rights cause and further depicts what the CPC have done to protect and promote the realization of citizens’ human rights in China. The human rights in China will be realized if only the right to subsistence and the right to development are considered as the basic human rights. Cold-war thinking cannot offset the historic progress and achievements that China has gained on human rights. To realize and guarantee the human rights of the majority of Chinese people, we should not only oppose the hegemony and autocracy but also the distortion and damage to China’s human rights under the cold war thinking. The author holds that China’s human rights cause will have a bright future under the banner of People’s Democracy since the CPC is well-learned in self-consciousness of Marxists. |
