BEIJING, June 23, 2008 -- Representatives and experts from the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) are receiving updates and holding discussions on the preparatory work for the Beijing Paralympic Games during a five-day meeting of the Paralympic task force that started on Monday.

Topics on the agenda include opening and closing ceremony operations, transport operations, spectator services, risk management, catering, Games-time cultural activities, Paralympic Village operations and ticketing. Representatives of the IPC will be brought to the site of the Paralympic Family Hotel, competition venues and the Paralympic Village.

Tang Xiaoquan, president of the Executive Board of the China Disabled Persons Federation and executive vice-president of BOCOG, and other officials from BOCOG and co-host cities are attending the meeting.
