At the main Olympic Press Center, 900 multi-lingual volunteers are ready to help foreign journalists.
They are chosen from nearly 20,000 applicants from around the world. Their expertise allows them to tailor the service they provide.
Hu Zhenhua, Volunteer of Main Olympic Press Center said "We have undergone training in different disciplines. For example, I mainly answer questions regarding technical problems. I am a telecommunications assistant."
Shifting between Chinese, English and French may be a daunting for some, but for this Canadian it's a piece of cake. He's very happy to be part of it all.
One volunteer from Canada said "It's the first time that I've participated in the Olympic games. So it's gonna be a lot of fun to see what it's like during the games. I think it's a good way to help out and give back to the Chinese people who have been so generous to me."
During the Games, it's hoped foreign journalists will face as little hassle as possible in getting their job done.
