BEIJING, Jan. 4, 2008 -- The Good Luck Beijing 2008 International Handball Tournament will begin on January 5. On January 2, over 600 volunteers serving in the Olympic Sports Center Gymnasium got ready for their posts. As a new part of the competition services, emergency evacuation was introduced as part of the volunteers' training courses.

At nine in the morning, 612 volunteers from nine colleges of Beijing gathered at the venue and started the four-day training program.

This is the first time that emergency evacuation has been included in the volunteers' training. The organizer invited the head of the fire brigade to give lessons.
