BEIJING, June 25, 2008 -- Recently, an activity began which invited Olympic fans from all over to submit photographs of Olympic volunteers in action.

The activity aims to promote the volunteer spirit, spread the idea of volunteerism, and highlight positive volunteer conduct.

From June to September, interested photographers may send their pictures via email to smile@beijing2008.cn. Included with the submission should be a short introduction of the volunteer in the photo (name, occupation, volunteer service, contact information, etc.) and an explanation. Also, the work should be named.

A CD with the photo saved on it may be either hand-delivered or sent via post to: Volunteer Promotion Office, Room B-507, Institute of Microeconomics of Chinese Academy of Sciences, 3 Beituchengxi Road, Chaoyang District, Beijing, 100029.

The submissions will be judged by the hosts of the activity, and winners' works may be published. Additional details may be found at http://volunteers.beiijing2008.cn.
