The 21st China-UK Human Rights Dialogue took place in London

May 24,2014--From 19 to 20 ,May 2014 , the special representative of the Ministry of foreign affairs of China of human rights affairs Liu hua and the director of the Asia and Pacific Division of the Ministry of foreign affairs of British Li feng co-chaired the 21st Human Rights Dialogue in London. During the conference, they met with the Permanent Under-Secretary of the Ministry of foreign affairs of British Fred. Both countries dispatched delegates from Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Justice, Ethnic Affairs, Religious Affairs, Women's Affairs and the Persons with Disabilities to attend the meeting.

Both parties briefed recent developments in China and UK in area of protecting and promoting human rights and exchanged views on international human rights cooperation, technical cooperation on human rights , and some issues that two sides care about commonly.

Both sides believed that the dialogue was "candid, open and constructive." And the two sides are willing to continue the dialogue, exchange and cooperation on  human rights as well as  enhance mutual understanding on the basis of mutual respect and equality.

In addition, The Chinese Dialogue Delegation also visited the Supreme Court of the United Kingdom, the local police stations in London and other places.
