Chinese delegate Yan Wenjun gave a speech on the twelfth China-German Dialogue on Human Rights

July 16,2014--The twelfth China-German Dialogue on Human Rights was held in Beijing from 13 to 14, July. The major issue of the conference was "international law and the protection of human rights". Germany experts and scholars deeply discussed ,frankly communicated with Chinese representatives ,and reached the agreement on how to protect national sovereignty and civil rights of all countries to international law , as well as how to combine the international conventions on human rights with the local concrete conditions.

The former vice Chairman of the CPPCC National Committee, the Chairman of China foundation for human rights development Huang Mengfu, the vice director of the State Council Information Office of the People's Republic of China Cui Yuying attended and delivered a speech on the opening ceremony .

Huang Mengfu pointed out that China-German Dialogue on Human Rights mechanism set up a common, open, and interactive communicated platform for pushing the construction of human rights law between two countries, which had a positive impact on promoting the development of human rights. He stressed that enhancing the protection of human rights needed to uphold the right attitude and principles, and that the most important thing was to combine the universality of human rights with particularity of each country, to combine the domestic law and international law, to combine the national sovereignty and the human rights. The government of China conscientiously implements the relevant standards of international law in the field of human rights, combines with China's conditions through strict and safe legal procedures in order to transmit the international covenants on Human Rights into the domestic law, and makes the international covenants on Human Rights get a implementation in the more comprehensive, full, effective ways.
