China Society for Human Rights Studies visits Uzbekistan

May 31, 2012 -- China Society for Human Rights Studies (CSHRS) visits Uzbekistan during May 28 to May 31, 2012. During the visit, CSHRS, led by Mr. Luo Haocai, respectively visited Diloram G. Tashmukhamedova, chairwoman of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan and chairmen of different political parties, human rights deputy of the Oliy Majlis and director of the National Human Rights Centre of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Luo Haocai, President of China Society for Human Rights Studies, introduced China's stand and practice on human rights, including the implementation and assessment of "National Human Rights Action Plan of China (2009-2010)".

Since reform and opening up, China has made significant progress in human rights protection. The visit of CSHRS is helpful to further improve the understanding between people and the cooperation of human rights of the two countries, Tashmukhamedova said.

The delegation of CSHRS will leave Uzbekistan on May 31, 2012.
