Tibetan farmers celebrate Ongkor Festival

The Ongkor Festival, also known as the Bumper Harvest Festival, is celebrated annually by Tibetan farmers praying for a bumper harvest. The specific date of the festival varies between June and July of the Tibetan calendar, which usually comes two or three days before harvesting ripe highland barley and wheat. Generally, the schedule of the festival is collectively decided by villagers, depending on when crops ripen.
