July 2,2015--The human rights delegation of China’s State Council Information Office (SCIO) visited Mexico Monday and held a joint press conference in Mexico. This is the first time the Chinese delegation for human rights visited Mexico.
Huang Junxian, head of the delegation and deputy director for human rights affairs of the SCIO, introduced China’s human rights achievements and experience at the press conference and answered questions. "China and Mexico have a long history of friendship and have seen frequent high-level visits and increasing commercial and humanities exchanges  in recent years. Both China and Mexico believe that human rights exchanges will strengthen the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries," Huang said.
"The Human rights cause has been integrated into China’s economic, political, social, cultural and eco-civilization development  to achieve  a coordinated development of economic, social, and cultural rights with political rights. China is making new progress in safeguarding human rights after many years of effort. Our success fully demonstrates that we have chosen a development path that suits China’s national conditions," Huang said. The Chinese government and the Communist Party of China (CPC) have made a solemn promise to respect and protect human rights, Huang added.
It is a difficult task to guarantee human rights in China which is still a developing country.  But the CPC and the Chinese government have confidence and capacity to promote human rights protection, Huang said.
When asked about U.S. criticism of the suppression of freedom of press in some countries including China in the 2014 Country Reports on Human Rights Practices released by the U.S. Department of State July 25, Huang said the Progress in China's Human Rights in 2014, a white paper released by the SCIO is a good answer to the questions raised by the U.S. Huang pointed out that the America’s accusation against China is groundless.
