Oct.16,2017--China’s experience in poverty alleviation and economic development offers lessons for other middle income countries, said Jin Yong, president of the World Bank, at a press conference on October 12, 2017.

Thanks to its economic reform, China has been integrated into the global market and lifted hundreds of millions of people out of poverty, said Jin.

The economic transformation in China has achieved remarkable progress. China will continue to upgrade the model of economic growth to build an economy driven by the service industry and domestic demand rather than heavily dependent on investment and export.

As China’s economic performances are better than expected, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has raised its forecast for China’s economic growth, said Christine Lagarde, managing director of the IMF.
