China, UK hold dialogue on human rights

June 29, 2017 -- The 24th China-UK Dialogue on Human Rights was held in Beijing from June 27 to 28.

Liu Hua, Special Representative for Human Rights Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Kevin White, director general for Asia and the Pacific Affairs at the Foreign & Commonwealth Office, co-chaired the event.

Officials responsible for foreign affairs, justice, religion and migration attended the dialogue.

The two sides held a candid and pragmatic dialogue and exchanged views on a wide range of issues including international human rights cooperation and refugees' rights.

The British delegation visited Beijing Women's Prison and China Women's University Wednesday.
