Chinese philosophy to promote human rights cause

June 15, 2017 -- Co-sponsored by China Society for Human Rights Studies (CSHRS) and the Publicity Department of Tianjin, the seminar on Building a Community of Shared Future for Mankind and Global Human Rights Governance was held on June 8th in Tianjin.
In the context of building a community of shared future for mankind proposed by President Xi Jinping, the seminar explores the significance of this philosophy to the global human rights governance, said Qiangba Puncog, vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress and chairman of China Society for Human Rights Studies (CSHRS).
This philosophy will safeguard equal, peaceful and cooperative development of the people and represents a new approach to global human rights governance, Qiangba Puncog added.
China’s philosophy of building a community of shared future for mankind will contribute to the realization of human rights in each country, said Cui Yuying, vice minister of the State Council Information Office and vice chairman of the CSHRS.
Nearly 50 experts and scholars shared their thoughts about the Chinese philosophy which they believe is a new opportunity to promote the development of the global human rights cause.
