First South-South Human Rights Forum to be held in Beijing

Dec.6,2017--Co-hosted by the Chinese State Council Information Office and Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the first South-South Human Rights Forum will be held December 7-8 in Beijing.
Themed ”Building a Community of Shared Future for Human Beings and the Emerging Opportunity of Human Rights Development,” it will host more than 300 officials and experts from more than 70 countries and international organizations.
They will exchange views on south-south cooperation and human rights development and try to explore practical ways to build a community of shared future for human beings.
The one-and-a-half-day event will have six parallel sessions, including “Building a Community of Shared Future for Human Beings and Promoting Global Human Rights Governance”, “Realization of Inclusive Development and Human Rights under South-South Cooperation“, “Safeguarding of the Right to Education in Countries under South-South Cooperation”, “Poverty Alleviation and the Safeguarding of the Right to Food in Countries under South-South Cooperation”, “China and South-South Cooperation – Key Role in Promoting Global Human Rights Development” as well as “Realization of the Right to Health in Countries under South-South Cooperation”.
