Zhuang Brocade, originated in the Song Dynasty, is a traditional handicraft of the Zhuang ethnicity. Featuring many colors and delicate patterns, it is honored as one of China's Four Famous Brocades, together with Yun (cloud-pattern) Brocade, Shu Brocade and Song Brocade. Woven with cotton or silk threads, this glowing ethnic handicraft is a symbol of the Zhuang people’s respect for Heaven and Earth and also pursuit of a better life. Both cultural and historical connotations are displayed in this widely-used handicraft that has been passed down to new generations.
