More disabled people receive allowance in China

Sept.7,2017--By the end of March, 2017, China has basically achieved full coverage of allowances for the disabled. 
10.31 million disabled people in poverty have received subsistence allowance and 10.73 million people with severe disabilities have been covered by the nursing allowance system, increasing by 22.6 percent and 23.9 percent respectively compared with that in November, 2016, according to a notice jointly issued by the Ministry of Civil Affairs and China Disabled Persons' Federation (CDPF).
The notice said the subsistence and nursing allowance systems for the disabled have been established nationwide. 
Disabled people in 22 provinces receive a monthly subsistence allowance of 50 to 80 yuan and those in 10 provinces get a monthly allowance of over 100 yuan. People with severe disabilities in 18 provinces receive a monthly nursing allowance of 50 to 80 yuan and those in 14 provinces get a monthly allowance of 100 yuan.
11 provinces are planning to expand the subsistence allowance coverage to include low-income families and families with difficulties. 5 provinces are planning to include mentally disabled people into the nursing allowance system.
