Rates of entrepreneurship in China rise

Sept.11,2017--The entrepreneurship rate of college graduates in China has reached 3 percent, much higher than the level (1.6 percent) in developed countries, said Wu Yan, director general of the Higher Education Department of the Ministry of Education, at a press conference on the Finals of the 3rd China College Students’ “Internet Plus” Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition which will be held in Xidian University, northwest China’s Xi’an city on September 16-18, 2017.
 
The competition this year has attracted 2,241 colleges and altogether 1.5 million students, which is 2.7 times more than the level last year.
 
116 international teams from 25 countries and regions including America, Canada, the UK and Australia will participate.
 
Innovation and entrepreneurship education is a new breakthrough in quality education in colleges, and also a new exploration of cultivating college students, said Wu.
