Chang Jian: Collective human rights key to global human rights governance
The seminar on “Building a Community of Shared Future for Mankind and Global Human Rights Governance”, co-sponsored by China Society for Human Rights Studies (CSHRS) and the Publicity Department of Tianjin and organized by Human Rights Research Center of Nankai University, was held on June 8th in Tianjin.
In the era of globalization, the interdependence of all countries is increasing despite their diversified interests. Therefore, global governance is urgently needed for the world,” said Professor Chang Jian, director of Human Rights Research Center of Nankai University.

The Seminar on Building a Community of Shared Future for Mankind and Global Human Rights Governance was held in Nankai University, Tianjin on June 8th. It was co-sponsored by China Society for Human Rights Studies (CSHRS) and the Publicity Department of Tianjin and organized by Nankai University. Zheng Ge, professor of Koguan School of Law, Shanghai Jiao Tong University and researcher of the CSHRS, attended the seminar and delivered a speech on From the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence to Building a Community of Shared Future for Mankind.
Liu Huawen: China leads international human rights governance
The Seminar on Building a Community of Shared Future for Mankind and Global Human Rights Governance was held in Nankai University, Tianjin on June 8th. It was co-sponsored by China Society for Human Rights Studies and the Publicity Department of Tianjin and organized by Nankai University. During the seminar, Liu Huawen, executive director and researcher of the Research Center for Human Rights, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences put forward that the socialism human rights theory with Chinese characteristics has achieved great breakthroughs. China has demonstrated its determination to promote the sound development of human rights cause both home and abroad and have a say in global human rights governance. China launches 5-year program to reduce children's injuries
The 2016-2020 Children's Injuries Prevention Program was officially launched in Beijing on June 19.
The program was initiated by the Center for the Prevention and Control of Noninfectious and Chronic Disease of Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, and supported by the National Working Committee on Children and Women and the United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund.
The program will cover 22 counties in Jiangsu, Shaanxi, Guangdong, Zhejiang provinces and Shijiazhuang and Jinan cities, benefiting over 100,000 children.
Budapest Declaration released to promote health cooperation
The Budapest Declaration of the third China-CEEC health ministers' forum was co-released by Li Bin, minister of China's National Health and Family Planning Commission, and her counterparts of Central and Eastern European countries (CEEC) on June 19.

Xi arrives in Hong Kong for 20th return anniversary
President Xi Jinping set foot on Hong Kong on June 29.

China’s judicial reform gains fruitful results
Courts across the nation have corrected 34 major wrongful convictions since 2013 and excluded evidence obtained illegally in 2,765 criminal cases from 2014 to 2016, according to a judicial reform report released by China’s Supreme People’s Court Friday.
The report gives a graphical introduction of China’s efforts to reform courts’ organizational and jurisdiction system and promote judicial openness and efficiency, said Hu Shihao, director of the top court's judicial reform office.
