And the 19th CPC National Congress set out the goal of eradicating poverty in rural areas by 2020.

The transportation infrastructure in China’s poor areas has been greatly improved in the past five years. China will build asphalt roads for qualified counties, towns and villages by the end of 2019 and to connect all poverty-stricken areas with national main expressways by 2020, according to the Ministry of Transport of the People’s Re-public of China (MOT).
