Online privacy concerns must be addressed
January 11,2018   By:chinahumanrights.org

Jan. 11, 2018 -- Internet is making people's lives easier and at the same time invading their privacy. More and more Internet companies are being criticized for invading users' privacy.

Internet privacy fears are real but experts say it is hard to produce evidence in support of users' allegations of privacy invasion.

People worry that their online chatting are being spied but social software companies deny such claims.

Despite laws to protect privacy in China, loopholes still exist and users are vulnerable to online privacy invasion.

The lax rules on personal information protection have in some way made the rapid development of China's Internet industry possible but privacy concerns are growing and must be addressed. It is the responsibility that enterprises and the government can not shy away from.
