Xinjiang’s traditional culture well protected

Oct. 25, 2019 -- A Chinese diplomat rebuked on Tuesday America’s baseless accusations of Xinjiang’s cultural rights situation at the third committee of the 74th Session of the United Nations General Assembly.
Liu Hua, special representative for human rights of China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said that the Chinese government attaches great importance to the discovery, inheritance and protection of Xinjiang’s excellent traditional culture. Minority languages are widely used in various fields including justice, administration, education, press, publication, radio and television, and the internet.
Bilingual education is not aimed at a particular ethnic minority and will never undermine minority languages. On the contrary, it is good for ethnic unity and exchange.
