Social Enterprises and Inclusive Growth
Abstract: Social enterprises are organizations whose business activities are geared toward improving the social standing of vulnerable groups. Getting involved in these organizations allows the marginalized to get engaged in business and have gainful jobs. Ultimately, social enterprises are known to help nations in gaining inclusive growth and sustainable development. Case studies show that these organizations, despite their social character, are capable to gain profit and uplift the lives of the stakeholders. In the Philippines, there are already a number of social enterprises. The objective of this paper is to provide an overview of the success stories of these organizations in the country, which could be replicated by other social enterprises to ensure the achievement of their goals.
