The year of 2016 bears witness to the 30th anniversary of the approval of the Declaration on the Right to Development of the United Nations (UN) and the new issue of the National Human Rights Action Plan of China (2016-2020) released by the Chinese government. The present paper holds the view that the new National Human Rights Action Plan vigorously stimulates the balanced, shared and responsible development and therefore fuels the further realization of the right to development by means of connecting with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the UN, emphasizing international exchanges and cooperation, and highlighting protection of industry, commerce and human rights.
