Chang Jian, Ph.D., Professor of Zhou Enlai School of Government of Nankai University, Director of the Centre for the Study of Human Rights at Nankai University (National Human Rights Education and Training Base), and an executive member of the council of China Society for Human Rights Studies. As a visiting scholar at Warwick University, Essex University, Duke University, Montana University and Utrecht University. The main research fields are human rights theory and system, public conflict resolution. He published works such as The Ideal, Paradox and Reality of Human Rights, The Transformation of Rights Norms in  Contemporary China, Research on China’s Human Rights Protection Policies, and 60 Jahre Aufbau der Menschenrechte in China and serves as the deputy chief editor of the Annual Report on China’s Human Rights (Blue Book).
