Chairwoman of the National Council of Human Rights of Coate d’Ivoire
Namizata Sangaré, female, a Master in audit and management [DESS (Dipl?me d’études supérieures spécialisées), a higher education diploma oriented towards professional practice]. She used to be a director of financial management and insurance business for 21 years. In 2006, she founded a professional women’s organization in Coate d’Ivoire and served as the chairwoman of the organization between 2006 and 2013. From May 2016 to December 2018, she was Chairwoman of the National Commission for Human Rights of Coate d’Ivoire. National Commission for Human Rights of Coate d’Ivoire was later renamed National Council of Human Rights of Coate d’Ivoire during national institution reform, and she has been Chairwoman of the Council since April 2019. In September 2021, she was elected Chairwoman of AFCNDH (French: Association francophone des commissions nationales des droits de l’Homme English: Francophone Association of National Human Rights Commissions) of OIF (French: Organisation internationale de la Francophonie, English: International Organization of La Francophonie). She once worked as an international election observer on behalf of the AU (African Union), the UEMOA (Union Economique et Monétaire Ouest-Africaine) and OIF.
Sangaré once participated in the International Visitors Program launched by the United States Congress and trainings organized by Canadian Human Rights Foundation and ENA(école Nationale d’Administration). She was conferred medals multiple times by C?te d’Ivoire’s government and the French government. In 2020, Namizata Sangaré won the title of “Ambassador for Culture and Peace” by Chaire UNESCO.
