Wirun Phichaiwongphakdee (FENG Zhiwei)

Wirun Phichaiwongphakdee (FENG Zhiwei) is the Director of the Thailand-China Research Center of the Belt and Road Initiative, Member of the Advisory Team of the Minister of Higher Education, Research and Innovation of Thailand, Researcher of the Thai-Chinese Strategic Research Center (TCRC) of the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT), and Young Sinologist of Thailand.
Dr. Wirun received a bachelor's degree in economics from Yunnan University, a master's degree in modern and contemporary Chinese literature from Huaqiao University, and a doctor's degree in tourism management from Sun Yat-sen University. 
Dr. Wirun is currently the director of the Thailand-China Research Center of the Belt and Road Initiative. 
Dr. Wirun strongly agrees with China's "media + think tank" initiative. Therefore, he not only proactively promoted the cooperation between the Thailand-China Research Center of the Belt and Road Initiative and Chinese think tanks and media but also promoted the understanding and cognition of the Royal Family of Thailand, government, and academic circles about China. Meanwhile, he presided over the translation work related to the Thai version of Xi Jinping: The Governance of China, and the Chinese-Thai version of Keywords to Understand China. 
Dr. Wirun was invited to attend the 6th-10th Chinese-Thai Strategic Research Seminar, the Conference on Dialogue of Asian Civilization, and other major conferences, and actively spoke up for China on international issues, making outstanding contributions to academic exchanges between China and Thailand as well as China's external communication.
