The annual report on China’s human rights development (2016), also known as blue book of human rights, has been issued recently by China Society for Human Rights Studies (CSHRS).
The book of 300 thousand words includes one overall report, 17 features, 2 survey reports and cases research papers and 2 appendixes. 
China has issued a guideline on criminal procedure reform and the role of court trials in a bid to reduce wrongful convictions.
The guideline by the Supreme People's court and procuratorate, along with the ministries of public security, state security and justice, seeks to improve criminal procedure by exerting the court's role in fact finding, identifying evidence, protecting rights and impartial judgment.
China has issued an annual report on the country's progress in human rights in 2015.
The compiler of the report, China Society for Human Rights Studies (CSHRS), said in a statement on Monday that the report, also known as China's human rights blue paper, includes a general report, 17 special reports on different topics, as well as two research, investigation and case study reports and two appendixes.
China will work together with the international community to continue to promote gender equality, a senior Chinese official said on Tuesday, the fifth International Day of the Girl Child.
