Human rights education helps poverty eradication: Chinese expert

Zhang Xiaoling, a Board Memeber of China Society for Human Rights Studies (CSHRS) delivers a speech at the C20 meeting. 
 
July 13,2016--“Poverty alleviation should be understood from the perspective of human rights and human rights education will contribute to poverty eradication,” said Zhang Xiaoling, a Board Memeber of China Society for Human Rights Studies (CSHRS) at the C20 meeting held in Qingdao, east China’s Shandong province between July 5 and 6. 
 
Jointly sponsored by China’s civil groups and the United Nations Association of China, the Civil Society group of 20 (C20), the meeting focused on poverty alleviation, green development, innovation and civil contribution. 
 
Zhang also detailed China’s contributions to poverty alleviation and the CSHRS’s important roles in promoting human rights protection. 
 
More than 210 representatives from over 50 countries and regions attended the two-day meeting.
