The China Foundation for Human Rights Development has set up a special fund to support research on human rights issues. The subjects will be chosen from roughly a hundred collected by the foundation from across the country. A group of experts from the foundation and some universities, such as Tsinghua University and Peking University, have formed a committee to carry out the selection work and will decide how much will be offered to each selected subject.
