China Children and Teenagers' Fund is the first nationwide social organization in the form of raising fund for serving the work of the children and teenagers education and welfare, it's social public welfare organization which has independent legal person qualification and has no seeking profits. She was set up July, 28,1981.The purpose of China Children and Teenagers' Fund is: to bring up, foster, educate the children and teenagers, assist our country in developing the work of the children and teenagers' education and welfare, particularly in the work of the old liberated area, minority nationality regions. Remote districts and the poor area.

The major funds and materials of China Children and Teenagers' Fund come from the voluntary contribution of the enterprises, institutions, associations, other social organizations at home and abroad and individual person, and they also are raising by the way of benefit performance, charity bazaar and developing all kinds of activities. The funds and materials are used directly in aiding the items of education,culture,welfare etc of the poor area's children and teenagers. Since the Fund sets up, under the lead of the board of directors and the All-China Women's Federation, it does plenty of works for the work of the children and teenagers' education and welfare, and wins the widespread acclaim of all the cirde of society. The Fund has allocated the funds and materials many times to aid the children and teenagers of the natural calamity area suffered earthquake, conflagration, floods in our country, also to aid many areas of the whole nation to set up kingder gartens. Children's welfare homes, orphan's homes, children's reared homes or Children's palace, Children's Centre, Children and teenagers' activity station etc. Particularly, in 1989, China Children and Teenager's Fund developed a large social public welfal activity named "Spring Bud Plan",for the purpose of aiding the girl children of the poor area who were deprived of education.The fund set up "Practical Technology train special Fund for the Girl Children of Spring Bud", so that the girl children who went back to school could use the countryside practical technology which learn from the "Spring Bud Girl Students class" could be well-off diligently and depend on themselves besides studying culture and knowledge. At present, the aid range of the "Spring Bud Plan" has already spread all over the 29 provinces, cities and autonormous vegions of our country. The girl children who were aided have already totaled about 750,000. It caused the strong reaction of the society and international society's close altention and high opinion. In order to do more real work for children, China Children and Teenagers' Fund and Information Publishing Department of state has jointly set up the "Nationalwide Reward Fund for the Excellent Children's Book", it would be apprised every 3 years; China Centre TV Station and Our Fund set Jointly up the "Nationalwide Reward Fund for Excellent Children's TV Program" to reward specially the creation and product; Children work department of all-China Women's Federation and We conmenly set up the "Special Fund for Children Activity Position" and "Hai Wang Children Development Fund"; For coordinating the reforms of the national enterprise economy's rebuliting and transfroming, our Fund set up the "Resolve and Aid To Go To School Fund for the Post-left workers' Children" for removing the worry and resoveling the difficulties for the post-left workers. In order to encourage ever more persons to participate in and supporting the work of the children and teenagers' education and welfare, and praising the unit and individual person that made great contribute, There was a "Reward fund for China Children". In addion. China Children and Teenagers' Fund also developed frequently all kinds of activity, for example: Summer camp, knowledge contest, special train for children, special fleet for children, literature and Art evening party, concert etc.
